Penguins

We watched this video on Youtube today. We thought penguins couldn't fly, but we changed our minds when we saw this clip. We wrote stories about the penguins sliding on their tummies, bouncing in the air, flapping their wings and flying high in the sky.

After we had written our stories Sarah showed us another video. The second video showed how the flying penguins video had been made. It wasn't real. Penguins can't fly! We learned that not everything you see on the internet is real.

Jam Sandwiches

Michealla wanted jam in her sandwiches.

She wrote her Nanny a letter to ask if she could have jam sandwiches.

The House on a Rock

Once upon a time there was a house beside a river. The house was sitting on a rock. Inside the house was a mum and a dad and a baby. They didn't have any food. They didn't know there was a shark. They always thought it was an earthquake but it was a shark.

Dogs Can Fly and Birds Can Walk

Dogs Can Fly and Birds Can Walk

Once upon a time in a faraway land dogs could fly instead of walking. They did not eat dog food. They ate fish with chips. The chips had to have salt on them otherwise they wouldn’t eat them. The birds do not fly in this imaginary world. They walk around everywhere. Walking here and walking there. Birds walk everywhere.

My Trip to Wellington Zoo

Yesterday I went to the zoo. We went to see some kangaroos. We saw a monkey getting an operation.
There was a dingo eating a rabbit. When it woke up it ran up to the bushes to see if there was anymore.
When we were there we got an ice-cream. Our Nana gave us $50 to pay for us to get into the zoo.
We saw a baby kangaroo and we gave it some food.
When we were there we heard the animal talk. When they had to give them some food we went up to the giraffes neck and gave him so food.
We saw some lions. When they were waking up they roared.

Kayden

Today we wrote a letter to Kayden. We told him about some of the things we have been doing at school, and asked him some questions. Sarah wrote down our messages for Kayden, and we drew pictures for him. Sarah put it in an envelope with a copy of our movie and sent it to him at his new school.
